SVALBARD (Spitzbergen) at 80 deg. North

Many years ago I get known with several of the old trappers wich lived years and years of their life with ice and snow at Svalbard during the long  winterseason. In particular Hilmar Nøis, Edvin Nøis and Julius Nøis. I also meet  Henry Rudi and Arthur Oxaas, but because I was very young then and I did not pricuate the opportunity and knowledge at that time. I do now.
BUT - I do have Hilmars memoars from 1909 - 1963. Hilmar stayed 38 winterseasons at Svalbard as hunter and trapper.
