"SEEN ELK-LIST" RAPPORT 2005
Here you can see a part of our hunting area, nearest sea-level and roads. The rest is up and into the mountains wich you can see a part of.

The hunting sesaon 2005 started in acceptable nice weather. The first week Anders shot a calf and Werner a cow in "Snolken" in Djupfjorden. Later we shotwo calfs in "Inner valley" in Blokken (Arne and Kenneth). I shot a cow from the tower at "Øvermyra". Bjørn shot a bull at "Blankbergan" hills.
My grandchildren Garn and Tobias was with me for two days, and that went really ok, and they got the first hunting inspiration. Early be hooked.....

The hunting weekend 16/17.10: I shot a cow, approxmatly 2,5 year, in really good condition. The shooting distance was only 8 meter, into center of the hart, but she runned 500 meter and swimmed 100 meter before stop. This weekend we saw many deers, but after all we has not seen so many calfs, and the bulls are not as big as we want them to be.

Here when taking my cow ashore - also the slaughter-work was done close to the water.

The elkhunt 2004 started in bad weather and 4 days with no result. Among others because of me who tried to shoot a bull with the gun-secure on.
I had wizzled so he stopped beetween two threes, but hell - it did not work.
Well, well - I came strongly back and got 2x2 doubleer. The first 2 was shot far up in a mountain, "Middagstinden", at 30-40 meters distance. The next two was shot at "Slåttneset" in Inner-valley, at 2 and 5 meters hold.

My personal result so far: 15 deer - Biggest: 320 KG. Double: 3

ELK HUNTING IN BLOKKEN WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1994, AND A YEAR LATER IN DJUPFJORDEN VALLEY.

FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WE MEANT IT WAS REASONABLY TO COOPERATE - SO WE DID AND NOW OUR COUNTING AREA IS ABOUT 30.500 DEKAR. NORMAL QUOTE: 6 DEER. 3 calfs, 2 bulls and 1 free deer. THE FREE DEER SHOULD BE A SMALL COW IS SPOKEN FROM A LOT OF THE PARTISIPANTS:

The hunting team: KRISTEN PEDERSEN (leader) - BENT GLAD - TORSTEIN GLAD - KENNETH GLAD - ANDERS RASMUSSEN - WERNER PEDERSEN - JOHN-ELDAR PEDERSEN - ARNE PEDERSEN.
KRISTOFFER has retired, but we keep contact. He miss "Nordalhaugen" - no doubt about that. I still remember when the elkbull jumped over him in 2002 - but shit happends: The gun was at home.
Bjørn og Bjørnar are also retired, but Bjørn still work as stand-in when we need him.

THE AUTUMN HUNT 2003 HAD A RESULT OF 7 DEER. ONE CALF WAS INTERRRUPTED. DIFFICULT WEATHER WITH SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS EXCEPT THE FIRST WEEK. THE INNERFILETS WAS EATEN 28.9 AND 5.10

BJØRN (The Boss) SHOT 2 DEERS AT "SKJELLTJØINNA". KRISTEN SHOT A CALF AT THE "BEKKAN-CABIN" BJØRNAR SHOT A CALF AT "LANGVÅGEN", AND BENT A CALF AT "SLÅTTNESET". KENNETH SHOT A BULL IN "LANGVÅGEN".
TORSTEINS CALF WAS INTERRUPTED.

HERE YOU CAN READ WERNERS,s LAST REPORT:

"At the very last hunting day 26. october the bull felt down at "Langvågen". KENNETH had the hounor sending a 1 1/2 years old bull to "the hunting fields for ever" at 0100 Pm. . KRISTEN started alone walking in deep snow from "Rokkelbækken", and took up cow and bull in what we call elkvalley". We other was standing at the road in the next valley doing nothing when the deers came in a hurry over the top. Then WE get it hurry. Belive me - the boys run from here to there to find their postplaces. KENNETH run as fast as possible to "Langvågen" in deep snow, I was closer to the "Halleskog-lake" The deers did recognize Kenneth and took their way in direction "Bjørnskaret" and the mountain top. You dont belive it: Kenneth run after them in this deep snow and shoot uphill at long distance. Yes - the bull came downhill on his back - dead.

SO THE END OF THIS HUNTING SEASON WAS GREAT !!
